SPAM and Creationism

SPAM Halloween Costume58% of USAians don’t realise that people might try and scam them online, and probably trust everything they get via email. In other news, 55% of USAians believe that God created humans in their present form.

Anybody see the correlation?

    Not exactly a correlation.

While both statistics are a measure of ignorance, the population of creationists are not necessarily the same as naive internet users. For example, similar surveys in UK might show that 20% population believes in creationism while 60% population are ignorant about online scams.

So I would say that while both statistics indicate ignorance among the population, there are not necessarily a correlation between both.

I’m aware the argument isn’t exactly sound - it was meant as a joke. Still, it would be interesting to see similar statistics worldwide - THEN we might have a true correlation.

    Thanks for stopping by!
